STORMS ARE COOL!

There's been a lot of storm activity out in the Gulf here in Naples Fl. I love storms, I love the turbulence they throw up and the ever changing dynamic. I love a nice sunset...when I'm kicking back with the missus and a nice bottle of Cab, but photographically they don't inspire me, after the sun has set maybe...I'm not being a snob, it's just there have been so many fabulous sunsets taken...would someone really call another one "fine art".

So, I digress, I love storms, and the other night, just before the rain crept in, when the air was balmy and wrapped around you like a warm blanket, I headed out to a location I like. I didn't have a whole lot of time, but I did find this scene. The thing was, I had not brought a part for my tripod, not deliberately, but I left in a last minute rush and I forgot the connecting plate, so I had no way of putting my camera on it. To cut a long story short, I found this tree and was able to steady my camera by pushing it against an old stump...just enough to drag the shutter a tad so I could grab some movement. I think it worked rather well!
